Chinese (5kw )air heater

Those T pipes for the water system seem to epitomise many Chinese products. A bit more time and care with bits like that would pay dividends.
Its the same with the exhausts and jubilees on the heaters - absolute junk, every heater i have has an eber silencer, clip set and a metre of eber hose which adds about £50 to the heater but that still only makes the heater £150 at todays prices so worth doing.

Been looking at the water heater combo for my Centaur, looks interesting and certainly not fake as many were claiming. FWIW I have a new old stock D5WZ hydronic under the bonnet of my sprinter that i bought 18months ago that keeps locking itself out due to it not liking my vans ECU. I'll try to wire it in separately but if i get no joy will fit a chineseum one instead - at these prices its worth a punt & considering what i paid for the eber the Chinese have got it sown up...............

I fitted a 8kw Chinese Diesel Heater to my caravan but the Exhaust Mufflers that came with it both leaked all the way around.
On all my Cars that I have owned as soon as the exhaust broke or rusted, I would always buy a Janspeed Exhaust system as they are top off the game when it comes to Exhaust systems, so me being me have spoken to them and asked if it would be something that they would consider making, I think that they would be interested but unsure of the market for these so they are going to look into it and ask a local caravan site, and put the feelers out if it would be profitable etc, so fingers crossed they will look at making a fantastic product, as first class exhaust systems is all they do and so many people have the same issues as me with cheep mufflers breaking and leaking.
So what do you all think?

Just a note, the Chinese mufflers aren't gas tight as you've discovered.
Some people have managed to weld them, or you can fit a webasto/eberspacher one or just do without.
I guess there may be some interest if the price is right, especially if it's a gas tight silencer suitable for marine installations as well but I think the price point will be the critical thing as a genuine marine eber' silencer costs a lot more than a whole Chinese diesel heater.

Thank you so much Murv, CLB & Kam, I have also been told to look at VVKB as well? I totally get what Murv said as well, as we have been stopped being able to go anywhere at the moment and see what Janspeed comes back with as we are sighted down in Cornwall very near the coast and very high salt spray etc was told it needs to be high quality stainless steel grade 304 to 316 which I was told is best for Marine use as well as anyone near the coast. Thank you all for your advice well appreciate it.
Kind Regards Craig

Just to add my experience, I fitted a 5kw Chinese heater last winter in my boat and has been reliable so far. I tested it for 20hrs in my workshop, running on kerosene(heating oil), and it worked well. Fitted in my boat with 4 outlets, some of the supplied items are rubbish such as hose clips, exhaust pipe, underrated wiring etc. I fitted eber exhaust pipe & exhaust outlet and copper fuel lines. I fitted a stand pipe in the fuel tank and sold the supplied tank. Also insulated the hot air ducting, in all it cost about £350 approx. Not used much this year due to Covid 19 and boat is ashore now. But will be used when allowed to go to the yard.
