Went down to see the boat in the snow this morning.....big thaw so no weight on the canopy.

Son threw down the gauntlet: shall we see if we can get out of the marina? (We're right up by the boathouse so it would have been quite a slog through the ice)....

Gave it a go but chickend-out after just a few metres......it's hard doing anything other than a straight line through ice, innit?

I am, Addlestone reach behind the Pelican. Usually though, we drop down on to the Thames if we are spending any more than a couple of days on board.
I was down in mid Jan to take our son to Heathrow, he is spending 4 months in Fiji, so I dropped by to see everything was Ok and to re-secure the tarpaulin covers. What depth is the snow and how cold has it been overnight?
