Apologies if this has been noted already, but I see today that 'Hollingsworths' has recently (post-Xmas) reopened under new management - and with a butchery department. For locals and passing sailors alike, one hopes it will be a success.

Under new management, they re-opened before Christmas and appear to be doing well. It is great to have the shop back ! Meat is excellent

Good to know, thank you. When cruising over the summer and I stop at the Butt and Oyster I will now know to walk up the hill for supplies.

We are Chelmondiston residents and are very happy that the shop is open again. Meat is excellent especially sausages. They have not got the delicatessen side of things really going yet so only limited choice of cheese and the ham is not “home cooked” although nice.
They stock lovely fresh bread and a fair selection of veg. Also a small range of beverages.

Was still a shop until about 8 or 10 years ago.
