Cheeky sods… Fambridge

Just before Xmas, postman left a card saying there was a letter at the sorting office for me. 10p short on postage and £1.00 handling charge; I chose not to pay and suggested they return it to the sender.
Postman tells me they're not allowed to handle cash because a) they might get robbed and b) they're not trusted to handle cash.
I didn't hear any more about it.

Erbas had the same and when he saw it was from them he refused to pay and left it at the sorting office. Somebody needs to tell them.

Silly beggars sent me TWO! I'd have been more than a bit miffed if I'd paid online to have 'em delivered

Words will be had! (Although I suspect more than a few have already been had!!!!)

In fairness to Fambridge I got a text from them telling me there had been a cock up with the postage and to ignore the note from the post office, which I did. Mind you I was awaiting another package with despatch difficulties which slightly confused things but it arrived ok so all's well.

Which tells me that they still haven't got my correct blinking mobile number on the database! Change of words but words still to be had!!!!!

Toby knows my number
And I have had texts from them so they should know my number…..

Hharrrrummmmpf...

In fairnes to Toby, this isn't his balliwick. He's busy, busy, busy lifting and servicing the swinging moorings.

It may not even be a "local" upcock, not sure whether posting out the handbooks isn't a head office job darn sarf somewhere

Nevertheless, I think a good harrumph is entirely justified!

I received the Haven Team's text on Feb 9th. The message was apologetic and suggested that a request for payment be ignored as "it's only our handbook". It also said that if I'd already paid for the thing (£2.17 in my case!) then I would be reimbursed by the Haven Team upon presentation of the receipt. Yes, a "local upcock" but quickly admitted to and suitably handled. No complaints from me.
