Anyone know how to check supercharger oil level on kad 42 ? Just drained the oil and refilled with new oil.
do you screw dipstick in then Unscrew and check level or just dip it by putting the dipstick in as far as it will go without engaging any of the threads? The threaded section is about 15mm long so it could be the diffence between under filling or over filling the super charger,
Thanks Nick

take the dipstick/filler thingy out and wipe it clean, screw the dipstick/filler all the way in. then unscrew it and have a look.

I was always under the impression the standard for screw in dipsticks was not to screw it in when measuring. I suppose the best way to realise the answer is next oil change to drain it completely and put the max amount of oil in according to the manual and verify against the dipstick

According to manual which doesn't specify screw in or not but:

Oil changes should be made every two hundred hours
of operation. Run the engine to operating temperature
and remove the dipstick. Remove the drain plug and
fill up with oil.
Oil grade: Volvo Penta 1141641-9
Oil capacity: 0.1 l/0.1 US quart

From the KAD42 Operators Manual ... it says to screw in the dipstick.
