Hi

Reading PBOs review of dehumidifiers and looking at the prices and features quoted, I found I had gotten a pretty good deal from Argos for a Challenge dehumidifier with frost protection, 5 degrees and up working temperature and external drainage for £80, far less then quoted anywhere else.

see <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=2501&productId=111584&clickfrom=name>http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=2501&productId=111584&clickfrom=name</A>

Thought it might be of use with the winter coming.

Thomas

I have not read the PBO review yet. Our £99 B&Q unit (also sold by XM for about £300) is now in its third winter and going strong.

Many other mags in gadgets like computers or camera's will often also quote the street prices of products.

Is PBO forced to only include the RRP for products they test. The above price differential is quite frightening. I would like to see tests of such items also include one or two domestic candidates.

Those of us who read PBO are generally more savvy than to begin our shopping at the chandlers.
