I gather that I can plug a camera straight in to my E120 MFD, as long as it provides a composite signal.
Aim is to provide some sort of rear view from the helm position.
Cheap & cheerful is the name of the game here. I don't need any sort of night vision capability, but if the view is good enough for berthing then it might be handy.
Really could do with being wireless as well. After fitting some exhaust temperature monitors on the flybridge which took well over 5 Hours just to run the cables through from FB to exhausts, I'm not keen on running cables any more!
Will need to be weatherproof, and ideally self contained so that it can be mounted under the radar arch (as opposed to a number plate type camera that needs to be recessed into something.) But, I can mount it in a case if that's the best solution.
Not looking for top quality, otherwise I'd pay out the 4 million pounds for the Raymarine system (I may be exaggerating slightly but whatever the cost is, it's not even in the same town as me let alone same ballpark)
Any recommendations?
