Anyone know any local engineers who could service my twin Perkins at Chatham. Rather this than sail to
large company.

This is (or was a couple of years ago) a Perkins service agent at Medway Bridge Marina, by the M2 bridge (www.medwaybridgemarina.co.uk).
Next nearest is Marlec Marine at Ramsgate (www.marlecmarine.co.uk) who may also be persuaded to cover Chatham with a bit of arm-twisting.
Most marine engineers will tackle Perkins engines for routine tasks. I know there are people at both Hoo and Gillingham marinas.
