Which is best, Imray chart pack or the Admiralty SC 5608 for the Bristol Channel ?

Imray, keep them all the same.Also chart plotters seem to match the imray charts a bit better.

I think that's purely a personal choice thing - I prefer Admiralty.

Me too. I find Admiralty charts clearer and more logical.

So the OP's choice may best be made on preference for a particular chart style.

I've always swung towards Admiralty, but found Imray's to be cheaper.

Imray colours are much more logical: between tides is a sandy colour and dry land is green. Deep water is darker than shallow water. Unfortunately my chart plotter is the other way around so my brain is totally confused and I have no instinct for what dark and light blue mean.
