Years ago I bought a waterproof chart case for my A2 Imray Solent chart pack.... cos I like having chart in the cockpit. It was called 'Vinyl Chart Case' and cost 8.95. I bought it in a chandlers... might have been Force 4.
Now it's finally falling apart but scouring the internet I can't find a replacement for love nor money ... Any ideas anyone?

I've got through several like the (currently out of stock) Force 4 one, over the years. (They were not very robust - cardboard stiffener doesn't last long once the case corners get split or chipped, the spring clip and mounting rust badly, and th edge of the transparent sleeve sometimes splits - but they were good enough for the money at the time - though latest price was £30, I see).

I can't find anything similar available currently in this country online (there's probably a few kicking around in chandlers somewhere). Might be worth asking Force 4 if they're getting more in stock (they are still on their website).

There are lots of different sized fully flexible (i.e. no stiff backing) waterproof map holders available in different sizes (not sure if the biggest matches the type you're used to.

Alternatively, it wouldn't be very difficult to make something similar, perhaps better, than the Force 4 type, and here's a couple of 'recipes' that might suit or give you ideas >

p.s. STOP PRESS I've just found this A3 one by OneOcean (formerly ChartCo) from BookHarbour/Stanford's for £25.

They are out of stock and on back order for the A2 version which would be £40.
FolioCover [BACKORDER]
Both seem available from a French online chandler, but at a scary price, and perhaps with the typical current delays/costs of delivery to UK.

Thanks all ... good calls. Surprised chart cases aren't marketed by chandleries (at a reasonable price!) I expect everyone's staring at their chartplotters !
