Charging for Anchoring

I will always anchor wherever I stop. I prefer to know that I am fixed to the sea bed with some descent tackle!!!! Here on the west coast of Scotland it is also the best way to get away from the maddening crowds. I can never understand why anybody would pick up a mooring that they dont know the intergrity of!!

As for being charged for the privelage....I dont think so....just come over and try!!!

So tell all - people who refuse to pay...

Eight people (at the time of writing) have replied to the poll saying they refuse to pay at anchor and stay put anyway. Please post and tell us all. Where? When ? What was the argument with the "Harbour Master" like ? What happened in the end.

Not a lot I suspect - don't really see how you can "Anchor clamp" a vessel ! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Nope. I am having an average day. You really don't want to see me when I have a "bad" day.
I just get pi$$ed off with the childish behaviour and comments appearing on the forums from posters trying to look intelligent or "smart". There is nothing smart in jumping on someone's typo. I am a great believer in don't post anything you would not say direct to someone's face.
