changing toprigg to 7/8

Playing around with the sailplan of my old toprigged (original? sailplan by the designer R. Tucker?) "Mystic", 21 footer, I found out, that the foresail attatched then to 7/8 would have the lower end nearly parallel to deck! For my understanding in theory the point of force (sorry, i don't know the english word) in the sail would come more close to the deck, that means the yacht is sailing more upright in stronger winds as now, when i have to put a reef in mainsail at 4-5 Bf. Also the foresail will pull more in the new rigging. Is that right? Is it then recommandable, to change the rigg to 7/8?
Remark: all foresails, Genoa 1+3 are of the same shape, but diffrent size o.c., nearly.
Any suggestions, comments?
Thanx Satymyst

the problem when changing from masthead to fractional rig is that the forestay and backstay no longer oppose each other and the masthead will tend to bend. there ate 3 ways to tackle this:
1) use running backstays attached at the same level as the forestay.
2) use jumper stays
3) make sure the mast is strong enough to bend but not break with the pull of the backstay.
I woud suggest you get advice from a professional rigger as it will be expensive if you get it wrong!!
