Good luck to Huygens which should be hitting the atmosphere of Titan tomorrow. Hope it does better than Beagle2. Hard to do worse. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I find it hard to imagine anything so complicated working unattended for 7 years and ending up in the right place.

As an amatuer astronomer, I have been following this since inception - and it hasn't been without its design flaws! However, it all seems to be functioning and we will have to wait until tomorrow. If it does work, we are in for some fascinating stuff and hopefully the surface and atmosphere of Titan will reveal its mysteries - and there are plenty of mysteries. One of the best places for Huygens info is http://esa.int

I am most amazed at it's passing through the belts of Saturn without banging into a particle...

(it is this one that did that innit?)
