Carrera MPG With Twin 151Cs

Just looking at the Boat Report (recently Downloaded) and it shows on the Fuel Graph approx 8 galls per hour at 4000 rpm.based on 145As .Is this per engine or both??
Just need to know so I can work out Filling Stations on Passage

just re read some reports

its for both 4000 revs for approx 23/24 knots

WOT you are looking at 15+ gph /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif for nearly 30 knots

Or only 4 hours!

How did you fix your starting problem?

I´ll have two at that burn rate....15+gph sounds better, or approx 3mpg /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

The report was a P B O Test Dated Nov 85 and was not very conclusive on MPG
Yep I reconed 0n 15/16 galls per hour
Was working out the fuel totake the Carrera from Brighton to Chi..Total distance via the Looe Channel I recon 50 miles or about 4 - 5 hours so based on this 50 - 60 galls..makes you wonder if taking it by Road might be viable although much prefer the sea passage
The Stalling on the Port Engine sees to have cleared itself so berthing less stressful.. I was out today and found it difficult to get both engines past 4.3k revs.After thinking about this I think theT/Tabs were set with too much bow down so will experiment with this but its great when she gets on the plain but its a bit up hill

Once you are on the plane take of all tab

with a 60 gallon tank you'll be fine just watch your revs

my port engine gives me trouble at times normally the cause

is the [--word removed--] batteries due to the non eco fridge(engel)
