Carib hurricanes, Colin etc

A pal has just diverted to Bermuda to sit out Colin (or get belted by it - my idea was for him to rush to Carolinas coast but not enough time...) so it seems the hurricane season is here again. Very fabulous weather during summer other than the hurricanes, it's a shame it's called "hurricane season" as though the hurricanes are continuous.

As always the next ones along have their names pre-determined, and the list for 2016 is

Sitting this one out in Curacao this year. Insurance company seem to favour here. Back to Bonaire in October for the diving then weather window for Leewards

Just off to check the depths in the channel leading into the mangrove basin in Carriacou. I will be using an old school sounding pole It is supposed to be a good hurricane hole but the entrance is tricky.

Hmm one week into the hurricane season and we are on named storm three.
