Car or Lorry?

I'm thinking of getting a new vehicle and can't decide between a small car or a lorry. I'll be using it for driving into town mostly but might move house at some point so a lorry would really come into its own if I do that.
I realise that while driving into town and back the lorry would use vastly more fuel and I'd never use the extra space, but it's possible that some day I may need that space and power.

Do not be silly buy the lorry as you know no matter how much space you will have you will fill it!

Think how much bigger dinghy you can have

I bought an old (1996) Ford Transit a few years ago as a second vehicle because we were renovating the house. I believe it has paid for itself many times over.

Pretty sure you can't keep a lorry at a residential address and not in a built up area.
Whatever operators license you need states must be kept at certain commercial premises.

As you can tell i'm not 100% on the rules, bu know as father in law has haulage firm and can't bring his lorries into the acre of land he has to park them up.

You want a motorbike, not as much luggage capacity as a car or lorry, but much more enjoyable. You may also get wet and there are no luxuries like cup holders, but think of the excitement

Or even a 740! I am a bit of a Volvo freak and have just bought a GLE Estate, one owner 10 months MOT and 10 months tax for £300. I could make a profit scrapping it! currently loaded with 3m a complete hypalon dinghy, outboard, 4 lifejackets. a dog crate, 25 kg Danforth, 4 bags of coal, 2 bags of clothes, 3 sleeping bags and it has a towbar. And it goes like a rocket.

Ahem......

I am currently drinking at the LHD alter....it took 5 minutes to get used to the steering etc, and the only difficulties so far are getting through the swipe cards at the YC and our house.
