Caprice-fitting transducers

I have just purchased a clipper duet at the boat show for my caprice mk4 bilge keeler. I would welcome advice on the best location for the 2 seperate transducers. I am also intrigued to know how Compass can sell the duet for £149 and NASA the producer sell for £190. I did not get the opportunity to ask NASA rep at the show.

Thanks in anticipation

The NASA price is the 'recomended selling price' This is the top price which marine suppliers quote and it contains all the built in profits between the manufacturer and the final seller.
Normally manufacturers quote to Joe Public this top price to maintain the structure of the marine retail market in the UK.

Some suppliers sell products at less then this price.

This they can do by either
a) lowering profit margin
b) elimenating middleman slice or
c) by bulk buying direct.

I know where there is a Caprice and I will look to see where the transducers are fitted (if there are any) and post you with the info.
