Turn the heating up full blast to clear the windscreen then proceed as normal - I went out of Chi a few years ago - cutting the ice as I went ... no problems at all - just went a little more slowly and was more careful on deck ...
I have to confess that I was once told that when the water is frozen to any serious thickness, there was not likely to be any damage caused to moored boats, so long as there is no movement of boats. They said it was the pressure caused by forcing through the ice that would damage not only your boat but others in the marina/ area.
I can see a certain logic to that.

yes its correct - nothing happens to the boat provided there is no pressure from ice (means boat must be in a sheltered place). Forcing/breaking the ice is however tough to the antifouling, but at least if give a clean hull.
