Hi all
In the yard at the moment replacing a shroud
I'm used to fittings that just hang in slots in the mast but this fitting disappears into a cover and I've no idea how to search the shroud
Hoping I don't have to drill out the rivet on the cover ?
I believe the type of terminal is called stemball fitting. It goes into a backing shell. Sometimes a cup or washer is needed between the stemball terminal and the shell. Omission to fit these, when they are needed, is a common cause of rig failure with this type, I have heard.
