No, not the slide ride chairs but the rigging bits at the mast just below deck level. It appears they're there to put some of the masts downward force on the deck instead of the keel - despite having a keel-stepped mast. Never seen this before.
 
I expect one could get noticed at Cannes by turning up naked on a spacehopper with one's bottom painted purple, it would probably still be less embarassing than turning up on that green thing...:)

I suspect they are taking the load form the vang and the halyard turning blocks to the mast rather than the deck, my 'vanilla' Selden keel stepped mast has something similar but a lot less noticeable.
