I am trying to get informmation about potential yacht charter in the Canaries in the next month or so. Any recommenations that you or anyone else has would be much appreciated.

Suggest you drop a note on the group, (there aren't any at the moment but someone may see it.)
I can't help with yacht charter, having my own boat there means I haven't researched it any better than you can through a search engine. I do know that because the sailing is certainly not for novices there is not a lot of choice but each main marina in Lanzarote (Calero and Rubicon) have at least one company but I believe very few boats for bare boat charter.
