Usutu used to be on the Broads moored in Brundall for many years and I always liked the look of her. A few years back she was on the market in Pwllheli so we went over to view as a possible purchase. A lovely boat but the layout, particularly the wheelhouse, didn’t work for us. Fitted with stabilisers of a certain vintage so not sure how well they work.

Another was on the market for quite a while around the same time somewhere on the Med, possibly France. Only six built if memory serves. EDIT: Just read the article above and it confirms half a dozen built.

Agree with this, the external appearance is very classic, has stood the test of time but the interior is very much of its age. An expensive refit might fix some of its limitations at a cost.

Those engines looked like they have been loved. Perkins ?
Remarkably clean and oil tight.

Yes, Perkins 6.354 and they do look tidy. Not seen them in green before but good motors with a long history

We had the HT (horizontal) version in a Broom Ocean 37. As you probably know, they were fitted to all the Broom models with that hull (Contintal, Ocean and Crown).
