Can you have two mast halyards exit through one bottom sheave ?

RJJ .... I lost interest in just you arguing for sake of it a long time ago ....

As they say - there are many ways to skin a cat .... so go get your knife and skin a cat instead of bugging me for providing a realistic and simple solution.

Bye

Er...you are the only person on this thread who has carped, bugged and been uncivil, the latter by your own admission. You first leapt on the solution (with your gobsmacking and !!!!!!, and zero objective considerations) that wasn't your own, not me. I have agreed repeatedly that your solution works; I have seen it used. Everything has pro and cons.

If you lost interest a long time ago, why did you keep coming back to see if you could have the last word?

I have done my best not to "argue for the sake of it", I do like understanding decisions we make. In order to think straight, of course, it's important to unpick conflicting beliefs that a topping-lift is not strong enough to climb the mast on "better have good life insurance", but is strong enough to depend on for MOB recovery. But I'll leave that for you. I don't consider myself the headmaster round here "letting" people make errors indeed.
