I didnt think I could until it was demonstrated on my boat.

The corrosion on my shaft after 2 years is, well, um, shocking

Whats my chaneces of a warranty claim then?

Its supposed to be Jeanneau long life propshaft material.

Instead it seems to be, [--word removed--] we've run out of stainless, nip down the scrappie in the works 2CV for a bit of inch bar Gaston.
Rightoh boss.
Bonjour Pierre, got a bit of inch bar turned down to 25 mil?
Yep
Is it shiny?
Yep
How much?
10 euro.
Blinding, I'll take it.
Bobs yer wotsit Boss, we can send out that 35 to the Rosbifs.
Bien! they'll never notice with all that brown water on their east coast.
Good, bung it in then, and we can go off to an interminably long, envy of the working world, lunch.

french manufacturer must have known the boat was for an englishman (unable to accept the results at trafalger and waterloo) and defocates on anything english. as the french (old enemy) often do.

Dear Roger, dear dear Roger,
the prop has corrosion, dear dear corrosion, requiring a replacement, a dear dear replacement.

I will take your advice an get a 1.25 inch device. This will last about 30 years at the current rate of corrosion, by shaving off a bit every year.

Depth sounder not required. Hit putty, open wine.Simple.
