Go by car at a weekend, forget the train unless the missus wants to do some shopping in town.
Northants to LBS - down M1 round M25 to M11 and from there its about 30 mins into the show. Total travelling about 90 minutes from Northampton. Watch out for the speed camera at the 50mph section of the M11
Don't even thing about park & ride, get there early and park on site.
What could be easier?

I've decided that if I can't be arsed, then I'll regret it next week, so I'm likely to be there next Tuesday, the only day I can go - anyone else on that day? Now, next question, road or public transport.....sigh!

Mr Grumpy... IMHO the easiest way from N'ton to LIBS, would be MI, M25, M11, A406,cross over the A13 Junction, which will take you to door of Excel. If coming on a weekend, traffic shouldn't be toooo bad!? 2.5hrs?
