It is described as an Eberspacher Artic but it doesnt look like any eber I have ever seen. Any suggestions? Is it a standalone jobbie and suitable for a boat?

Looks like a water based heater ... taking water from the engine fresh water side and corculationg it in a radiator type with a fan to blow hot air...

Like this one ... but then again I can be totally wrong..

Its a heater matrix from a eberspacher water heater system.

I have a D7 fitted to my boat and there are 3 heater matrixs fitted.
all they are is a box made with a car heater radiator fitted inside,
The radiater inside when mine went eberspacher wanted 190 for a new one, took it to local rad shop and it was a rad from a old mini, 45 for a new one.

Its fitted to nearly every boat over here in Scandinavia, they are used as defrosters or heaters and are very effective when run off the closed cooling system of an engine.

Hmmm, yes. Eberspacher pricing... Remember I said what a good job the nice men at Espar in Marlow did: not replacing my fuel pump but recalibrating it instead? Well, it still cost me £200 in labour and it still didn't work. I tested the pump myself and it was still shagged. They wanted about £165 + VAT for a new one, but I bought one off Fleabay from a bloke in Guernsey for £49 inc. Brand new, genuine part at almost exactly 25% of what the UK distributors wanted. 10 minutes to fit and the unit now runs perfectly.

Hi

Can you tell me where you got this as I'm after one or similar for my own boat, or if anyone has any suggestions for any other brands.

Thanks
