Can anyone help identify this Yacht type?

I would be interested in learning of the boat's earlier history, and he might even know the origin of the name "Dopertwe".

Sounds Dutch. 'Dopertwen' is Dutch for peas. Perhaps the boat was originally based in the Netherlands? (The advert in post #19 says the model was aimed at the export market.)

The Owners Group I ran on Yahoo had SR 25's in UK, USA, South Africa and Australia .. I cannot remember all locations - but they were certainly further afield than I ever expected.

Then again ... boats far smaller have crossed Atlantic ...

Yes, thank you LittleSister, we had wondered that as well, pea soup or something like that, maybe a Dutch boat, there are Sunriders in the US and Europe, so she could have been a Dutch boat. Years ago I did manage to make 2 anagram's for boys names out of the name, but then I forgot what they were! It's certainly a unique name, and often causes a little momentary confusion when doing radio checks, respondent usually replies "Dopper T"

I sometimes wonder at the choice of boat names and what would happen in the case of having to make a "Mayday" call. Possibly not so much with DCS.
