I can only think the price in Cowes reflects either red funnel or Wightlink massive charges to cross to island or captive market in cowes but if as quoted 60 I would try bembridge etc or just visit mainland . I must find the source of a refill hose as I know our boat neighbour does this aS well.

I can get the 907 refill for £39.75 at John Carter in Basingstoke, much cheaper then prices quoted around the Solent.
