Cabin - drain down, de-humidifier, tube heater or Webasto heater?

I have mine set to minimum and haven't used the ioniser either, for no real reason but I just haven't! It seems to do the job pretty well, I make a point of removing all soft furnishings over winter which makes a difference with any damp as well. I have a small heater but often don't need it with the dehumidifier.

I drain of the domestic water - will keep an eye on the weather but probably well into November before draining off the domestic water. My boat will be in the water .
Then I have low wattage heating to protect the engine bay and I do have a small heater near the calorifier on my present boat just in case there might be some water remaining. When we use the boat with the domestic water drained off we just use 5 litre containers for water - the tap is a few paces away on the pontoon and rarely freezes up.

.
Even if not stopping over I would visit the boat at weekends to get some air circulated. And going out for a spin on those days when the air is still and the sky is clear has to be on the agenda.
I did think of having the boat ashore a few months but have decided against and will just have a short term lift out in the early spring .

Since ordering my Meaco dehumidifier last month, I haven't had chance to get down to the boat but I am planning to go down this weekend. However, in the meanwhile, I have given it a trial run at home and in a conservatory and have been very impressed with how much water it removes. I think I will get one for home too but there is a £30 difference between the ioniser version and the standard version. I have been running it at home with the ioniser switched on and haven't tried it without, so have no direct experience of what / how much benefit it offers.

What does the ioniser offer and is it worth the extra £30?

For interest, here is mine last night from my remote monitor. Outside air dropped to 3 degrees according to Heathrow. You can see it kept the boat under cover temperature about 3 degrees above that. You can see the humidifier cycling on and off (it was on the lowest setting)

It could not keep the temperature up last night. It looks like the colder weather is drier so the de-humidifier is not coming on so the associated temperature drops.

You can also see the automatic battery charger pulse charging at 14.7 volts on occasions which is correct for AGM batteries

That looks like a great piece of kit! As I live so far from my boat, it would be very useful to be able to remotely monitor the on-board temperature, humidity and voltage. I have sent you a message elsewhere!

Any thoughts on the ioniser function of the Meaco?
