By sea delivery cost

That is a long way by sea, probably 4-5 days in good weather so overnight stops and refueling - plus the cost of fuel. More common for boats that size and type to be moved by road. If you are buying suggest you ask the broker if there is one involved.

Thanks. You’re right. My inexperience of understanding the costs involved. I’ll do as you suggest. What would reckon the cost by road may be ?

I believe that the going rate for a qualified skipper is around £150-£250 per day. They may need crew as well, and my idea of that cost might be out of date.

Assuming the boat is in great shape and you have the weather, and nothing breaks en-route, that could be done in two fairly tiring days. Overnight after day 1 and refuel at Brighton or Eastbourne. If a commercial delivery that’s the minimum time I’d plan for, but OTOH if this was my boat I’d take several days over it and enjoy the ride.

Just had a delivery Largs to Ipswich, 750 miles in 7 days with only stops to re-fuel and off again. The skipper cost £300pd. 3 crew, no charge, they do it to get the sea miles on their certificates. Plus food £500. So work out your mileage, days, should be about right.
