Has anybody had any experience about buying a used boat in Poland.
I have found a nice trader lying in Poland I am interested in. It is not through a broker and is on the Polish register.
Anybody help with the best way forward as in searching title etc.

Bump. I have not seen a thread relating to a Polish purchase, so I don't know how much experience there is on here. You might try talking to a few UK based brokers who deal internationally? Adam Baker of Global Yachtbrokers is pretty experienced, and a really decent bloke too.

Good Idea Thanks
The boat looks a real bargain but before I go any further I need to be sure that a purchase can be made with no risks to my money and I can establish title vat status etc.
I will try speaking to Adam and see if he can help.

I would employ an English speaking solicitor in Poland to handle the purchase for you? That way you get all the correct paperwork done and your money should be safe. I did that last year in the Netherlands and felt very safe about the whole deal.
good luck.
