Busbars again and daisychaining two fused switch panels?

Make sure that the positive wires going out to various equipment are connected to the switch terminals on the fuse/switch panels (not to the fuse holders), else everything will be permanently 'on'.
Well damn, I hadnt realised that! Thank you. So basically all those red loads should run to the switch and not the fuse as I have drawn it? In other words, throw away the pigtailin the photo and connect the positive from each bit of kit to the switch in its place? I think you did say that in the other thread but the reason hadn't sunk in.

Positive from power post >> busbar across fuses >> link wires from fuses to switches >>connection from switch to equipment

I tells you this in the instruction leaflet you posted previously ........ Paragraph 5

In capital letters too, so what exactly is the point of that terminal on the fuse holder? Out of curiosity.

There are two spade terminals

The one on the switches, is for the negative supply for the illumination. It is labelled with a couple of - signs. (Paragraph 3 )

The other, on the fuses, is for the positive supply from the battery.... It is labelled with a couple of + signs. (Paragraph 6)

Paragraph 4 does not apply because you are using a separate negative bus bar for all the equipment negatives

I meant these, which I assumed the instructions referred to as the remaining terminal on the fuse holder?

I had not noticed those. The photo's not good enough and as far I I can see they are not mentioned in the instruction leaflet.

I guess the fuse holders are the type pictured below. It looks as though they have two terminals for the outer end of the fuse and one for the inner end.

( BTW Make sure you know how to access the fuse itself inside them )
