Asking if any other boat owners have purchased a boat from Burton waters and had same experience of problems ???!!
Bought the boat February 2015 and from delivery had nothing but problems with port engine overheating underload when cruising.
From delivery I've had their engineer come and try and solve the issue a number of times 6 visits.
He never found a fault works done helped but was always in my mind that the issue was never fixed.
Earlier this year it happened again and I had the boat lifted and had a engineer inpect the boat.
Within 30minutes after removing the drives he found the problem.
It was the main water feed pipe from the outdrive to the engine restricting flow as it was very hard and any movement was reducing flow.
Which explains when underload and trimming or any movement in the drive reduced water flow.
I've now got back onto Burton waters and basically they are saying it was ok when they last visited and are not taking any responsibility for this.
I'm out off warranty now but I feel this was never fixed and they should take this as an issue that was never solved properly.
This issue was more than apparent when the drives where removed and I was assured when I purchased the boat that she was serviced and good to go.
This is not the case at all.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Simon
