Bursledon outboards

Serious mode.

Did they tell you the oil/petrol ratio?

My Mariner is 100:1 but I'm sure that I had a similar Yamaha that was 50:1

Never understood why the difference but obviously if you put 50:1 in a 100:1 engine you will get a smokey engine and the plug may foul.

End of serious mode :)

Hi Bav, yeh they did and it's 50:1 but said after a few runs, it may well be ok with 100:1. I'll see how it goes.

I had one of these little 2 strokes before replacing for a DF2.3 which I love. Think I sold it for £150 so you've been well and truely ripped orf I'm afraid, go hang your head in shame :)

Gary...I hate you!! ;)

It's quite a feat to buy an outboard that's older than you are.

Vitesse...you're my favourite! :D

Don't worry Lisa, if you'd had bought Gary's outboard it wouldnt of gone anywhere because of its dodgy prop!!

:)

I have the same one by the sounds of it. Fantastic little motor and never fails to start year after year. Worth investing in some spare shear pins just in case you find the bottom though...I learned the hard way!
