Hi
I was there last week all very nice and new!! the pontoon bridge heads are on the opposite side of the basin to the Yatcht Club so a bit of a walk I'm afraid to say.

Not sure whether all the facilities are up and running yet,(didn't see shower facilities anywhere yet) but from what i understand it is nearly fully subscribed already!!!!! There are already some reasonable support services there,Marine engineers, Boatyard facilities, etc, It's a good walk into Burry Port itself with a few shops and pubs etc, not exactly an inspiring place I'm afraid to say, from it's current position however it can only get better!! Entering and leaving Harbour is still restricted to 3hrs either side of hw. the problem there is a large sand bar across the front of the Marina and until that is dredged the restrictions will stay obviously. Have been informed that it is quite a heavy area for fouling and some boats needing to be lifted twice a year to have bums cleaned, that i suspect is down to using cheap and out of date antifoul rather than local conditions!! the current boat owners have been scraping along for years so that is unlikely to change overnight. As for the tides and bouyage typical of the Bristol Channel
on the springs you can expect a good 5 knot tide, Charts and gps are a must as this area is dotted with sand banks and more detailed local knowledge, should be sought as it is quite a dangerous place.

For those that don't know Burry Port is in Camarthen bay in the Bristol Channel on the South /west Wales coast tucked between the Lougher Estuary and Saundersfoot

Hope this all helps if you need more pm me
