Okay now that I have received my club Burgee can anyone tell me the history behind it ? Why a wee mouse drinking from a Champagne glass ? Perhaps a stupid question but is there a right and a wrong way/place to fly it ?

Computer mouse, socialising & you can stick it where you like.

Yachts fly them from the port spreader, but mobos, lacking the essential equipment, sometimes have a small flagstaff on the cabin top or even the bows. As long as you don't go foreign you could wear it in place of the ensign, or hang it in the car rear window.

Mouse = computer mouse. Internet.

Glass = Party, get together, friendship.

Fly it anywhere it will fit, but if you want to follow strict etiquette, it should not go on the stern, because thats where your red ensign should be.

The mouse that roared has been around for about ten or twelve years.

130 went out when first launched, it's in just about every country in the world. It belongs to forum members, not the forum, so it could have moved to another forum if one became more popular.

The burgee is hardly ever advertised, it is not a commodity.

The reason for the SAE and cheque is more to do with commitment rather than anything else. You have to put a bit of effort in and share the work.

Nah, but Sea Rush wears it at the port spreader, along with WOA, SBC, RNLI & SCCC ones. Quite a lot of windage really. The RWYC one has to be flown at the masthead in order that I can legally wear my defaced Blue Ensign.
