I have rebuilt an old Bukh dv20.Everything has been renewed injectors included,although I'm not too sure about the correctness of the atomizing pattern.
I've been in contact with a reputable english dealer and he is as baffled as I am.The correct spill point(very fiddly) has been found,valve timing is right(double checked just in case.On inspection and again following the dealer's advice I found that the inj,pump has seen better days as the pistons don't slide easily down their bores as per the manual.I'm prepared to replace pistons and bores but before I go to that expense I'd like to hear some opinions.The simptoms are:excess smoke(white,definitely unburnt fuel) on startup wich sometimes clears up after a while.I get full acceleration but no power under load as if the thing is choking on it's own fuel.The regulator is perfect(checked and rebuilt) and the injection advance retard is ok. These simptoms cleared a bit after the latest fiddling but now I have the inj,pump out and scratching my head...
