I am in the process of buying a Bavaria in France and the broker can't understand why I want a builder's certificate or even what it is. Its a language issue and nothing else. Does anyone know how I might get one direct from Bavaria? I have the HIN.

Just ask them, or the dealer who first sold it as the BC will be made out to him. Just looking at mine now for a 2015 boat. It is a single sheet on letter head with all the basic details of the boat and signed with the Bavaria company seal. Seems to be a standard form, all in English.

Mines in the owners handbook ,a page at the back along with the RINA classification cert ,letterhead, stamps signatures etc
So A guess could be there - in the book pack ? As opposed to a loose leaf .

Use your wife's hairdryer to soften the French reg decals -peel off
SSR can be done on line and you have enough time to get a cert.
I flew to Italy with a red ensign and SSR cert
Luckily not needed immediately.
But nice to have a plan B on the del trip
Even a 2 hr trip in Fr waters.

Hi, yes a busy day. A great trip from Frejus to BSM. Stopped for lunch on board in Illes Lerins. What a great spot.

Six trips of stuff so far loaded back on board. We are filling her up. God knows how it all fitted on our last boat.

Write up to follow.
