Why is it that some threads are expanded so that you can't read it all. You have to keep using the bottom slider bar to shift the page right and left all the time in order to read the darned text. I decided to finally learn how to post photos using the ShipsWoofy tutor, but it is too big for the screen. Being a thicko I need to print it out to refer to, but when I print I only get part of the pages and it's doing my head in. Hoo hooo, please help me. Sob sob. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

the width of the thread depends on the widest image and/or the longest 'word' in the thread. long 'words' are usually very long internet addresses.

I had exactly the same problem. My screen is set for the correct width, and by and large that is what get.But just sometimes the darn thing spreads very wide, for no apparent reason. I printed off the Ships Woofy tutorial in landscape, which did get it all. Perhaps you might try that?

Becky, you're a sweetheart - now can you tell me how to do that? Words of one syllable (sp?) would suit this technoclutz very nicely! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Re: Millenium hand and shrimp? (nm)

Millenium hand and shrimp? Wot's that all about then? Are you telling me 'It must be YOU'? Look, I'm already feeling inferior being among all you IT/web peeps. I have my strengths and achievements. Computers just aint one of them! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Cheers Bob E...

Re: Millenium hand and shrimp? (nm)

If you're not a fan of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, then you won't know all about Foul Ole Ron, the beggar... (I told 'em, I told 'em, buggrit etc)

Instead of printing the page by clicking on the picture of the printer , click on "File" - top LHS of screen. Then click on "Print" and the Print "screen" will appear. Inside this there will be a "Preferences" option. Click on this and then click on "Page setup" that will have appeared at the top LHS. Then click on "Landscape" and OK and Bob's your Uncle - probably.

Whisper - many thanks for your help. Mission accomplished. Must remember to change back to portrait now. When I pluck up courage to post a pic, I'll mention you in the credits! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Cor -it's changed itself back. What a cheek!
