90 minute delay at Lisbon is less than often happened before the new system, they're always understaffed and when a few A380s have arrived, it's always chaos. When arriving with residence cards, we use the EU passport lane without scanners.

We recently had a fabulous week in Portugal, arrived in Faro. Passport control on the way in was the only disappointing part of the whole trip.

Presumably at them moment a lot of people need to register their biometric details, so queues will be longer.
90 mins is quite good. Should try Heathrow when you have a carnet.

We’re just got back from a few days abroad. They were directing a constant stream to the new scanners, but also large proportion of passengers to the stampy stamp men in booths to minimise delays when we were clearing into Italy. Felt quite slick and pragmatic all things considered
