Whats the trip from the thames to Brundell like.

I need to consider a trip to take Ocean Froggie back to Brooms to get the willow tree damage repaired.

Is it a straight forward day (long) trip from say limehouse to get into the broads.

Whats the lowest entry point into the broads and are there are marinas which are safe to leave the boat at for a week?

We did Chatham to Lowestoft in one day took 6hrs, 86nm average 14.33 knts in my Broom Crown 37 but we did have ideal weather, very flat Thames Estuary.
Next day Lowestoft to Brundall 19nm 3.25 hrs. average 5.85knts.

A great help to me was Coliholic who wo9rked out the tide times for the lock at Lowestoft, beyond which no locks or tide.

PM Coliholic he will give you good advice and please give him my regards CGN Sun_Coast.

Do yourself a favour, Contact B.A. Peters and have it taken on a low loader. No tides, No weather, arrives on time and no hassel. Costs about the same as the fuel you will use to get there to get there.

Depending on the timing, I would aim to overnight through the lock at Oulton Broad rather than overnight at LYC. May see you around there when you make the trip.
