I am afraid that the time has come to sell my Swift Trawler 42. Much as I love her, we just don't use her enough to justify the costs, particularly the mooring costs! Any recommendations as to an effective agent?

Try talking to James at River Yacht Sales, Hamble - http://riveryachtsales.com/about-us.htm

Long standing mate of mine, thoroughly honest and knows his stuff.

We have just had an excellent experience with JayKay Marine on Hayling Island. A genuine family firm. In fact, when we do eventually come to sell our lovely first boat and upgrade, we will go straight to them.

Sorry to hear your thinking of getting out of boating, boats do need to be used if there not then its a very expensive hole in the water. If I hear anyone wanting this type of bait I'll send them your way.

Having recently changed boats James Dickens was by far the best broker I came across as a buyer. His boat details were always accurate and comprehensive and his video walkarounds were the best.

Solent Motor Yachts at Swanwick have always done well for us. They even managed to sell our S41.......! Speak to Derek.

+1 for Derek at Solent Motor Yachts. Sold our previous Fairline and seems to be one of, if not the, most proactive broker on the Hamble.

http://www.jdyachts.com/ they see to be selling quite a few boats and I would think a Great boat like the Swift Trawler 42 should sell quickly.

+1 indeed - as buyer

Really made a difference in benefit of both parties of the deal. Made things happen.

Even after the deal I regularly visit his homepage to check offers. Would be my first point of contact if in need of a boat...

Chris Ibbotson at Waterside Boat Sales is worthy of consideration. Bought my small Antares7 from him and can thoroughly recommend him - no relation or interest.
