British Waterways Regulations

I have just inherited a 26ft river boat. It has not been on the water in some years and I am new to the boat arena. The boat needs doing up, where can I get a copy of the regulations for boat safety, as I believe there is like a boat M.O.T that it must pass. All help most welcome.

Contact the river authority for the water that you intend to register the boat on, they will be happy to send you the info pack, if you do not get any joy from them, try the Broads authority, at Colgate , Norwich. they are very helpful
