Does anyone know the whereabouts of the old British Steel Challenge Boats?
What were they sold for?
Where were they originally built?
If anyone can let me know this information or point me in the right direction then I would be enternally grateful.
Cheers

I have lots of info, and pre first RTW race magazines and first race programme etc.
One of the 67s is in St Lucia right now. Group4 had one, i think Joint Services bought one or two, UKSA have what was Nuclear Electric (won the first race) one also did ARC this year as something like Adventurer, dont know who owns that one.

Yes built by Devonport. When the 67 footers were sold off Berthon Lymington had a couple on their brokerage books, so maybe call them?

If you are thinking of buying one remember they are pretty skanky inside, would need a proper fit out to make em decent.

As far as I recall the asking prices were pretty low, and this probably reflects the yuk insides.

Yes, the Joint Services Adventure Sail Training Centre has 4 of them
