British Registry - What is it all about?

I wonder if Alex Salmond has thought about this one?

It doesn't matter, none of the "details" will even be discussed, never mind negotiated or decided until after there has been a "yes" vote. Basically they are being asked to buy a pig in a poke with all the "problems being sorted" after the choice is made. that's why both sides can make ridiculous claims about whether there will be a common currency, or no need for borders, or the scots will have to eave the EU etc etc. Sign this cheque & we will discuss who pays what to whom later.

Scotland, yes, and when it all goes wrong - "our neighbours did it to us, look, America, how nasty they are."

But, back to the important question - does the fancy passport wallet come with a class 1 registration or is it lamination for all now? The old 70s wallet looks like a passport and I can imagine exotic border officials being impressed but not so much with the laminate. Also, if I provide a UK address, register, then move away, can I keep my British registration? - serious question.
