Thought I would post this here about changes to the Breaksea Light Float which is being replaced with a safewater mark in May.
From Bristol Channel Yachting Association:
The buoy, when established will exhibit Safe Water Mark characteristics (Red and White vertical stripes), with a Long Flash every 10 seconds light character and a 9 / 10 nautical mile nominal range and be equipped with a S & X band racon (code T). Provision will also be made for the buoy to be equipped in the future with AIS, including the provision of wind and tide data, once the necessary changes have been made to UK legislation to enable this service. Although a Trinity House Notice to Mariners will be issued 3 months prior to the change being effected.
