Here is the next instalment, the passage between Chatham and Chiswick including my first passage up the Thames.

Whilst the first leg between Brighton and Chatham was amazing, as this was the first passage of any length I had plotted at sea as well as the first time I had visited other marinas, you can't take away that special feeling when your at the helm travelling up though Central London.

I hope you enjoy it: https://youtu.be/EJln-X4tp30A

Welcome to the Thames, and what a great way to arrive. Much enjoyed the video thank you. Being at the helm of ones boat is the best way to travel through Central London. Things will get much quieter from now on

I always enjoy it most at the helm of somebody eses boat; no worries and can appreciate the trip. At the helm of my own boat constantly concerned re the passenger boats and their impression of white van drivers on the M25.

Great video, with Windsor Yacht Club coming out of West India Dock to boot!

Is that the club that always books up all the available space at St Kats every bank holiday without fail ,then only half of them actually go due to the dangerous weather that always seems to crop up twist Teddington and Tower bridge on the day, preventing anybody else from getting in,and surely not the club, that in their hurry to get back up river in some enourmous Brooms, causes horrendous wash to boats moored outside Chelsea Dock....Surely not. :)
Was once told while waiting to come out of the lock, that the boats were NOT Brooms but Oceans... Sir....!!!!

Another cool vid,thanks for posting.

Welcome to The Thames.....For you Markhammond ze fun is over......5mph,lock queue's,rowers, floods and drought....you do get to feed the ducks but plz don't give 'em bread:):)

My education regards the "obvious to any idjit" differences tween Oceans/Crowns and mere Brooms came a few years ago when waiting to leave St Kats, the wash episode was the following year. :)

Its easy really just like old Fords, Broom = Ford Popular, Ocean = GL, Crown = GLS, Broom don't do the Ghia version Atlantic make that one :D

Remind me which version of the Crown/Broom/Ocean AKA. (Aquafibre with a different top) came with the tasty Vynile roof and the set of string backed driving gloves ?
The nets I believe were a "Just like your Grannies front room " standard option.
Not sure about the "Love that Dare Not Speak its Name Pink" or "Dog Sick Green" carpet / Velour interior choosen by some owners.:)

No net curtains or lace doilies on my Crown. Is this not the right specification? Also the carpet is light blue and there is no chintz on board anywhere????

Confused of Bray.

Paul you fool, you have entertained the envious ones! Up until then it had been the tumbleweed moment after a Vic Reevs joke!!
