So do the below links indicate the bridges will cross the River Orwell at the Lock and another at Fox's. Bit rough for Fox's yacht club and the Orwell Yacht Club where many backhanders have found berths lately.

Drilling has already started. The rig is behind the politicians in the photo.

As per the article - drilling is to assess the geology. Design will then follow from that. Current pictures are of the general concept

Been out the loop just recently mate. Will be time for me to move my boat permanently if bridges get put in. I'm a mobo owner so doesn't make no odds to me but the increase in traffic, noise, pollution, etc will be the deciding point.

Although it sits nicely on the river at Southwold so might just remain there. Been looking at a 30's motor cruiser as a long term project which will sit nicely alongside.
