Bridge heights

I'm considering various boats to buy and one that I have considered is the Prestige 32. Does anyone know if the P32 would clear Cookham lock bridge?

I've known people with the P32 and had no problems with Cookham and even Windsor bridges, but you need to know the exact dimensions of the actual boat to be absolutely sure.

It would be useful for Thames visitors if the actual useable height was reported. As I found out to my cost when squeezing through an acute arch

Years ago I saw Adam draw the bottom sluices with top gates open to help a tall boat under Cookham lock cut bridge. Not sure if the new keeper is so accommodating.

It's far too low and what's the point of it? People on foot could just cross at the lock

'cos it's a public footpath and getting such a path diverted is a major effort - bureaucracy included - takes for ever.
Notwithstanding I'm sure the Resident wouldn't want the greater and lesser public wandering through his garden..

Don't know why previous posts deleted when I tried to edit.

Cookham lock cut bridge is not only a pedestrian bridge it is a farmers accommodation bridge as well as providing vehicle access to Hedsor weir and the lock office side of the lock itself.

Its worth going up the hedsor weir stream if you can get under the bridges. Beware that it gets shallow once you can see the weir but despite previous attempts by the Tiny "we have money" residents it is actually not private water. Its part of the Thames.
