Blue skies (in between the showers), southerly 20 kts breeze and not another yacht in sight off the Backwaters & Harwich today, had a glorious if 'bracing' 4 hours blowing away the cobwebs - well worth staying afloat for - anybody else venture out?

Yep I fired the gun to start the 84 strong fleet for the "Cock of the Bay" race in briliant sunshine ,10kt breeze, blue skies ,calm seas.. in beautiful downtown Melbourne.. to prove it , those of you who are still watching cricket would have seen the conditions here... Melbourne, the Word's most livable City

No reefs at all... as we only had the jib up! No volunteers to climb the mast with a tree I'm afraid. Melbourne sounds preferable weatherwise I admit, but too many other yots - we just had the seals for company.
